Meet Our Professors

Shady Hill was the first independent school in the state of Massachusetts to be an alternative route to a certification program. Since 1994, it has been authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to endorse teachers for licensure in seven programs of study:

Early Childhood (Pre-K–2)

Elementary (1–6)

Middle School Humanities (5–8)
History (5–12)

Middle School Math (5–8; 8–12)

Math/Science (5-8)

General Science (5-8)
