Typical Week for an Apprentice
Monday–Thursday (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Friday (8:30 AM–2:30 PM)
- Plan and teach several lessons in math, science, social studies, history, and art.
- Meet with Directing Teacher for feedback about lesson taught. Discuss curriculum plans.
- Supervise students at lunch and recess.
- Attend two seminars after school to talk about curriculum, children, classroom management, educational philosophy and trends in education.
- Take an evening class one night per week at Lesley or Tufts University.
Friday (8:30 AM–2:30 PM)
- Learn and practice innovative teaching methods in math, science, art, English, social studies and Foundations of Reading.
