Typical Week for an Apprentice

Monday–Thursday (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

  • Plan and teach several lessons in math, science, social studies, history, and art.
  • Meet with Directing Teacher for feedback about lesson taught.
Discuss curriculum plans.
  • Supervise students at lunch and recess.
  • Attend two seminars after school to talk about curriculum, children, classroom management, educational philosophy and trends in education.
  • Take an evening class one night per week virtually or in-person at the university.

Friday (8:30 AM–2:30 PM)

  • Learn and practice innovative teaching methods taught by our faculty.
