This Wednesday Shady Hill Middle School students held their first POD meeting!
Designed to foster deeper community connection between Grades V through VIII, the POD program is a time for students to mix together in small cross-grade groups and partake in a joyful, collaborative, team-building exercise. With 27 separate PODs, Grade VIII students stepped into a service leadership role and guided their group through the activities and reflections. For this month's meeting, students worked together in a Cup Stack Challenge tasked to build cup towers with a rubber band and string as the only tools to lift the cups. It was fun to see each POD “band together” (pun intended) to complete the challenge. We can't wait for next month's POD meeting! Click here for photos.
