Summer Programs

NEW TO SUMMER 2024

Programming will run from Monday, June 24 to Friday, August 2, on weekdays (with the exception of Thursday, July 4), from 8:15 AM–3:30 PM. Aftercare will be available from 3:30–6:00 PM (with the exception of Friday, August 2).
 
Busy Bees: Pilot Program, Open to Accepted Rising SHS Beginners, Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26 and Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2. With half-day and full-day options, we open our doors to future SHS students for time to get to know each other and the SHS campus, in our warm and welcoming environment. Limited spaces available.
 
Two week sessions, for greater continuity within student groups to build community, and a discount compared to one week options, which will still be an option to accommodate varying family summer schedules.
 
Leadership-in-Training Volunteer Program for Rising Grades VIII- IX, expanded to welcome applications from previous SHS summer participants as well as SHS students. Program fees waived for admitted returning LITs. Limited spaces available. 
 
Select Days of Summer Fun Camp for SHS students only June 17, 18, 20 & 21. Theme: Rainbows! Celebrating Pride Month. No Programming on Juneteenth.
 
New Summer T-Shirts! Included in the price of registration.

iCode Wellesley Partnership

iCode Wellesley is offering select weeks of 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM computer programs for students Rising Grades III & up. The daily schedule can also be supplemented with a half day of Explorers program, for drop-off at 8:15 AM and additional student-driven choice options 12:00-3:15 PM.

iCode programs will not run if it does not meet a minimum of seven enrollments by Saturday, June 1. Refunds or space in Explorers sessions available for registrants if programs do not meet their minimum enrollment.

Minecraft Modding: Weeks 3 & 5
Students will be introduced to the wonderful world of Minecraft, a realm where their imagination and creativity can be unfettered and take flight. 
 
Roblox Coding: Week 4 & 6
Roblox is one of the most popular online game platforms to play and create one’s own games. Roblox helps students socialize and expand their analytical and problem-solving skills while having fun with their friends.
