Application Process

Urban Teaching Fellowship Application

TO APPLY

  1. Complete a TTC application.
  2. Submit a TTC Financial Aid application and supplementary tax forms.
  3. Submit a cover letter highlighting your demonstrated work with children in some capacity, your commitment to Social justice and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work, and your passion for being a leader in Public education. Please describe an experience you have had in your education or career that has led you to make a commitment to teaching in a public school. We are also looking to consider applicants from underrepresented groups; please include if you feel comfortable.  Please use a standard 12-point font, double-space, and limit your writing to 500 words or less.
  4. Upload your resume, cover letter, essay, and unofficial transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions to your TTC application. 

NEXT STEPS

  1. Email Kristen Skinner to schedule an interview with the program director, faculty, and current apprentices.
  2. Tour Shady Hill's campus.
  3. Follow up with 2 letters of recommendation, including at least one academic and one professional reference using this Letter of Recommendation Cover Sheet.
