This week was the first ever “Week of Action” for Lower School!
Each gradehead devoted class time to teach students about social justice and take part in a creative activity. Students created art inspired by famous Black activists Mari Copeny, Alma Thomas, Bayard Rustin, and Gee’s Bend. As they painted, cut, and glued, they discussed with each other the importance of these change-makers and shared their appreciation and gratitude for them. We are so excited to see their work hanging on the wall at next week’s Black History Assembly. View more photos.
