On Wednesday, we concluded our Grade VIII student board elections!
Over the course of two days, Middle School students headed to Assembly Hall and voted in the Student Board election. The Student Board is made up of four committees; Business, Student Life, Inclusion, and Community Service. For this year's election, a new system was implemented in an attempt to open opportunities to a wider set of students. Candidates in the running created proposals, related to a single committee, reflecting on the real work they’d perform if elected. This consisted of budget proposals for the Business Committee, promotional posters for Student Life, speeches for Inclusion, and action project proposals for Community Service! We are so proud of the candidates and inspired by their courage to run and thoughtful proposals. We are looking forward to Grades V-VII elections in the next coming weeks!
