Middle Schoolers Create and Distribute Protective Face Shields
Shady Hill seventh-grader Isabell wanted to do her part in helping healthcare workers stay safe while working with COVID-19 patients. After hearing about a shortage of personal protective equipment, she founded Face Shields By Teens, enlisting a number of Shady Hill friends to make protective face shields to donate to area hospitals.
They've made their first donations to locals hospitals and they are donating to more facilities this week. Their goal is to make and donate a total of 3000 reusable face shields!
We are so proud of our middle schoolers for finding such a timely way to make a difference.
