Drama

Each year, students in Grades VII and VIII present a fully staged musical. Many students design and build sets and costumes in our "Backstage" elective class, while others participate in the cast. Past titles have included The SpongeBob Musical, Into the Woods Jr., Freaky Friday, Shrek Jr., James and the Giant Peach Jr., and many more!

In electives such as ImprovComedy and Playmaking, Grade VII and VIII students learn to take risks, trust each other, and create characters.

Students in Grade V act out Chinese folktales such as "The Great Race" in their "Chinese Spectacular" each year, celebrating the Lunar New Year with songs and dragon dances.

Students in Grade IV dive deep into their Central Subject with their productions of "The Hades Play" and retellings of Greek myths such as "Perseus" and "Odysseus."

Students in Grade III act out the story True Courage: A Whaling Adventure, bringing their study of whales and whaling to life!
