On Wednesday, February 24 from 6-7pm, we welcome our neurodiverse families to hear from a panel of Shady Hill alumni who identify as neurodiverse. The panelists will share their experiences at SHS, and as college students and young adults. The panelists gave us permission to let you know a bit more about them. They are a racially and ethnically diverse group ranging in age from 19 to 28 years old, and their collective diagnostic labels include: AD(H)D, autism (before autism spectrum disorder was used), Aspbergers, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Alumni will each share a bit about their academic and emotional journeys and then we will have a little bit of time for questions. However, any questions you have beforehand are helpful for our planning and can be sent directly to Marta Rivas at Marta.rivas@shs.org.
