An Amazing Social Justice Day!

Yesterday, Middle School students engaged in various workdshops Social Justice Day. Throughout the day, students attended their choice of workshops and intently participated in conversations about some of the following topics: identity, neurodiversity, privilege in sports, protecting the environment, and politics. One of the workshops, “Campus Accessibility: How Easy Is It To Navigate Our Campus?” challenged students’ perspective on campus accessibility by pairing up and attempting to navigate around campus with mobility aids such as wheelchairs and crutches. While one student tested the mobility equipment, the other kept track of the difficulties and challenges they faced. All of the workshops created a space for productive conversation and thoughtful reflection.
