The Campus as an Outdoor Classroom

All year round, teachers use the campus to—among other things—inspire art and poetry, study natural history, stimulate group interactions, and sharpen students’ observational and group skills. Beautiful, varied, and handy, the gardens, wetlands, treed areas, roof-top garden, Lower School Natural Area, fields, playgrounds, and—yes—even a flowing stream are among the many outdoor learning spaces that compliment our classrooms. On your next visit to campus, see how many different ways you can spot students using the campus.
