Athletics Mission Statement
|Select a Team:|
The Athletics program at Shady Hill begins in the sixth grade. Sixth graders participate in a Teach, Choose, Play (TCP) program where they are taught the sports that are offered in our seventh and eighth grade program, followed by them choosing which sport they would like to compete in, and culminating with an interscholastic game day. Seventh and eighth graders have the opportunity to study a single sport in depth each season. We aim to keep our teams small, providing a good player-to-coach ratio and allowing for considerable playing time in games. There are team and individual sport choices, interscholastic and non-interscholastic team sports, physical education and a personal fitness selection for students to choose from. The goal of the Shady Hill Athletics program is to develop each student's skills and teamwork, while promoting good sportsmanship, school spirit, and fun.
Fall: Boys' Soccer, Girls' Soccer, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Volleyball, Intramural Tennis, Physical Education
Winter: Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Boys' Ice Hockey, Girls' Ice Hockey, Superfitness, Physical Education
