Bess Kargman '97 Joins Shady Hillers For First Position Showing

Seventy-five Shady Hill students, parents, teachers, and friends attended a very special showing of Bess Kargman's documentary First Position at the Kendall Square Cinema on Saturday, May 12.
It was truly a treat for the audience, including 75 members of the Shady Hill community, to have director Bess Kargman '97 at a showing of Bess's acclaimed documentary First Position at the Kendall Square Cinema on Saturday, May 12. Bess introduced the movie and answered questions from the audience when it was over.

First Position is about a group of young ballet dancers, their families, their training, and their preparation for a prestigious dance competition. The movie has won numerous awards and opened nationally on May 4. To see more about the movie, go to First Position.
